Cynthia might best be described as a dedicated wanderer and has wandered down many different professional, artistic and personal paths. She is a lover of adventure, art and fun. She began a passionate relationship with photography at age 18 and the love affair continues still.

“Photography changed my life… I see photographs everywhere! Like most people, I love images of the natural world and all it’s beauty-I just usually don’t take those images. I have found that I am drawn to the essence of the image…the lines, shapes, light, shade, color, contrast, balance, scale, pattern and rhythm. Those things are very evocative to me. Composing those elements into a pleasing composition brings me great joy. I prefer B/W photography for that reason- it does not add or subtract from the essence of the image. Of course, there are times when nothing but color will do! My hope is that my images will evoke something in the viewer and they participate in that experience with an emotion, curiosity, introspection or the desire to get out there and see this amazingly interesting world.”

Among many other things, Cynthia has lived life as a ballet dancer, legal assistant, actress, director, wine bar owner, mother and photographer. She is currently a Wellness and Cancer Coach and grandmother to 6 beautiful grandchildren. She lives in Washington and Arizona with the love of her life and tries to wander as much as possible.
