"I love the desert! The texture is... INTENSE! In my quest for capturing interesting cactus photographs, I've seen (and received) my fair share of 'pricks' LOL! For the most part, it was worth it. In addition to the graphic elements of line, shape, contrast and texture that I am eternally drawn to, I love just seeing a portion of the whole. Many times that perspective lends a sensuous quality to the image, which I found surprising from a subject that would seem anything but. This series was taken along a section on Hwy 286 in Southern Arizona.
